Community Partnership Team
Have you heard about the Community Partnership Team? This team works accross the whole of the High Peak to organise our anti social behaviour diversionary programme - such as Pure Summer which was a massive success during Summer 2011 - with over 2000 young people joining in. The team work hard to bring together everyone within the neighbourhoods that we manage.
2011 is shaping up to be another fantastic year for the team, and they have lots planned within the communities....
Dreamscheme...is a project that aims with dual aims of showing young people that it pays to work, and a way for young people to take ownership of the community in which they live. The project consists of community work which is rewarded with points that can then be exchanged for days out, activities or treats. During 2010/11, 91 young people have carried out community work ranging between three and two hundred hours as part of the project. Would you like to be involved? Contact Lia Roos at ROFA or Dave Longbone at HPCH on 0845 129 8075. You can also email enquiries@hpch.co.uk
We also have Dreamscheme happening in Gamesley and Hadfield - contact us for more information.
National Neighbours Day...2010 saw three succesful enighbours day celebrations, with fun days, street parties and sport activities. Almost 1000 local people came along and helped us to celebrate the day - Friday 27th May 2011 is the next National neighbours day - would you like to be involved in helping us to plan for events in Gamesley, Hadfield, New Mills or Fairfield? We would love your involvement, please contactKim Gilmore on 0845 129 8075 or email enquiries@hpch.co.uk
Pure Summer...Wow! During summer 2011 we had an amazing summer with over 2000 young people joinging in with activities provided by HPCH and our local partners. As a result of this reports of anti social behaviour in our neighbourhoods were kept to a minimum. This years project cost us £6500 to run - this was a £9000 cheaper than the programme cost in 2010, this saving was made by using our ''mobile'' team to deliver the pure programme accross the Borough.
Annual Community Firework/bonfires....The dates and times for the 2011 firework and bofires have been released! Please click onto events to see whats happening in the Fairfield and Gamesley areas.
Supporting local community & resident involvement....We will continue during 2011 to support local groups with our time and expertise and resources, to help communities to help themselves. Examples of which are the local residents associations, GRA in Gamesley and ROFA in Fairfield, COGS, Gamesley FC, Fairfield Young Womens Group and Friends of Chapel Lane. For more information, or to get involved, please call the Community Partnership Team on 0845 129 8075 or email enquiries@hpch.co.uk
For more information on any of the exciting projects coming up in 2011/12, please dont hesitate to contact us...dont forget that we would also love you to be involved.
