Qualified Electrician - £22,294.40

Our Property Services Team provides a responsive repairs service to approximately 4000 Council owned properties in the High Peak. Initially required for 12 months (with a possibility of being made permanent subject to performance) we require a 17th edition Electrician with a 2391 Test & Inspection qualification to join the team to provide a high quality and efficient electrical installation, repairs and maintenance services for tenanted and empty properties managed by the company, or other clients as required.

As well as holding the required electrical qualifications, you will have a commitment to working safely and a customer focused attitude to service delivery. You need to be self-motivated, a good organiser, have good communication skills. Applicants must hold a clean driving licence. You will be expected to work throughout the borough, from our offices in New Mills. A vehicle will be provided for this purpose.

Building Labourer (Initially a 12 month contract) £18,287 p.a

We need a willing and enthusiastic individual to join our existing Property Services Team, who are responsible for the repair and maintenance of our 4,000 properties.

To be successful you must be physically fit and have practical maintenance skills, preferably with some experience of the building trade. Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential and you must hold a clean driving licence.

The work is physically demanding and you will need to be active and in good health. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in this line of work. We would particularly welcome applications from women or from minority ethnic groups who are currently under-represented in this team.
