This moment in time…
The Tenant Scrutiny Panel has just recently submitted its review into the communication aspects of the repairs service; and has received the proposed action schedule from the managers for the implemented recommendations. From the initial 31 recommendations, 13 were immediately accepted, and a timescale for implementation was produced. These include the reduction of P4 repair times by 25%, and the introduction of Saturday morning repair slots for tenants with weekday work commitments. Numerous other recommendations need to be investigated further by managers and staff, and the progress of all recommendations will be closely monitored by the Tenant Scrutiny Panel.
One of the most important contributing factors to this review was the views of tenants. Tenant Scrutiny Panel contacted 33 tenants who had recently accessed the repairs service, who had very kindly offered to contribute their opinions to the review; whilst also studying the numerous feedback forms completed by tenants after a repair has been carried out. We would like to thank all the tenants who took part in the survey, and are extremely grateful to the high number of tenants who have indicated that they are happy to contribute their view to future reviews of other areas of service – we will be in touch…
In addition to the valuable input received from tenants, the review benefited from the support of the repairs related staff; and the professionalism and courtesy received from all staff members significantly assisted in the production of the final report.

As we close off the repairs review with its presentation to the Asset Management Sub Group, we will be turning our attention to the next area of service to come under investigation.
