Tenant Community Awards
Our 1st Ever Tenant Awards took place in 2009 with the awards ceremony taking place at New Mills Town Hall in May '09.
The awards are to recognise the special people who make a difference in our communities. The ceremony was attended by over one hundred people, who say community heroes win awards in the following categories:
- The Walter Sutcliffe Community Cohesion Award (Group) - Tintwistle Arts & Crafts and Glossopdale Young Womens Group
- Young Person of the Year Award - Ashley French
- Special Award for Community Cohesion across the Borough - Dennis Chappell
- The Green Award - 17th Fairfield St Peter's Beavers
- Contribution to Tenant Involvement Award - John Prince
- The Walter Sutcliffe Community Cohesion Award (Individual) - Lia Roos
- The Good Neighbour Award - Albert Lally
- Outstanding Commitment to HPCH (Posthumous Award) - Alan Johnson
Well done to all our winners and those nominated, and thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a community hero.
