National Neighbours Day 2010
8 June 2010
Friday 28th May was National Neighbours Day. Housing providers across the UK celebrated the day with residents living within their neighbourhoods. High Peak Community Housing made sure that National Neighbours day was celebrated in style across High Peak with 3 highly successful events being held in Whitfield, Gamesley and New Mills.
During the day there was plenty to do for the children including climbing walls, a mini disco, face painting, sports activities and circus skills. The events saw hundreds of people having fun in the sun!
David Longbone from the Community Partnership Team at HPCH says “It was amazing to see so many people getting involved in the National Neighbours Day events. The events were extremely well received across the borough. I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to some of the partner organisations who assisted us to stage these events, Derbyshire County Council Youth Services, High Peak Borough Council, Derbyshire Police, Jericho Café and the New Mills and Glossopdale young women’s groups.
