Get involved with HPCH in making the High Peak a greener place to live. There are lots of ways in which you can make your home be more energy efficient and help you become a little bit wealthier! Most of these tips are either free or cost very little to introduce.....
- Only boil as much water as you really need in your kettle
- Use energy saving lightbulbs
- Unplug your appliances when they are not in use
- Close your curtains at night
- Always turn lights off when you leave a room
- Wash your laundry at 30 degrees
- Save water by having baths not showers
- Defrost your freexer regularly
- Use the washing line to dry your clothes rather that the tumble dryer
