Decent Homes Target met - way ahead of Governments Deadline!
In March 2004 we set out to improve the 56% of homes that failed the Governments Decent Homes Standard.
The Government target was set for 2010 - our own target was for the middle of 2008 - so we have achieved it way ahead of time.
Since 2004 we have spent more than £20 million....
Thats more than 1270 new heating systems, more that 650 new roofs, more than 2000 new external doors and new kitchens and bathrooms for over 500 properties.
We have also invested in a number of other neighbourhood improvements including creating more car parking and improving the appearance by carrying out landscaping projects.
However, the journey continues - we know we still need to invest in your homes and we will continue to do so, with more new roofs, heating, kitchens and bathrooms in the future.
